About

I am a singer-songwriter/composer for visual media based currently in Chennai, India. My musical education began in Chennai with vocal training in Carnatic (South Indian Classical) music. My love for Indian Popular Film Music led me to pursue composition and production skills along with Playback singing at the School Of Indian Film Music. On completing the year long certificate course, I was engaged in teaching Music Production foundation techniques with the DAW Logic Pro X at the same institute.

Functionally skilled at playing the piano, guitar, melodica and drums, I took formal education in both Western and Indian Classical music theory during my time in India. I then decided to pursue a masters degree in Music Production at Leeds Beckett University where I focused on subjects including Studio Production Skills and Techniques, Collaborative Practice, Sound Design and Orchestration, Arrangement and Programming Techniques. For my final project, I researched and composed an EP to fuse Indian melodic and rhythmic structures with Electronic Dance Music genres such as House, Electro-Pop and Dubstep.

I pursued my second Masters program in Composition for the Moving Image from Leeds Beckett University and am working on the background score for short-films in India. I released my first full-length album Hold My Hand with influences from blues, piano ballads and upbeat dance records. I am currently working as an Audio Producer in an international Advertising firm and project manage voice over recordings for popular consumer brands across the European Market. The website aims to showcase a portfolio of compositions ranging from electronic, acoustic, orchestral and Indian musical genres.
